
The
preconditioning/ripening process provides fruit that is ready to eat
and has an outstanding aroma compared to conventional fruit. It also
has a proven longer shelf life. The process starts in the fields where
the fruit is handpicked and placed into tubs to ensure minimal damage.
It is then selectively graded, packed, and palletized. The pallets are
then placed in the pre-ripening rooms where the ripening process is
closely monitored until they are ready to be shipped.
Our
RipeWay® brand is our flagship presence in the preconditioned fruit
arena. Trinity Fruit, utilizes research developed by Dr. Carlos
Crisosto, and have created one of the most successful preripening
protocols in the industry. We work very closely with our packing houses
to ensure the fruit is picked, packed, and ripened to produce the
highest quality pre-ripened fruit. Only the best varieties and optimal
sizes are selected to be ripened and placed in the "RipeWay®" box.
